About Me
Hey, I'm Adir, also known as Adirbd.
I'm interested in infrastructure, transportation, and complex systems, especially how they actually work and how they can be improved over time. I tend to think systemically, looking at why things are the way they are, where they get stuck, and how they can become more practical, efficient, and intuitive for the people who use them.
I'm drawn to pragmatic solutions. The kind that come from better planning, structural changes, and rethinking what already exists. Many meaningful improvements don't start with big dramatic moves, but with understanding constraints, behavior, and real world usage.
Technology is a natural part of my everyday life. Not just as a profession, but as an ongoing curiosity. I enjoy experimenting, tweaking, and seeing how systems behave outside of theory. Figuring out what works, what doesn't, and where things can be made a bit smarter or simpler.
I enjoy coffee in the same way. Not in quantity, but in quality and exploration. Tasting, experimenting, and discovering what works for me. Along the same lines, I like trying different beers, mostly out of curiosity and appreciation for variety.
When I need a change of pace, I look for movement. Sometimes that means snow and snowboarding, sometimes just stepping out of routine. Places where the mind quiets down and things fall into place.
Professional Experience
I'm a DevOps Engineer at Check Point, where I've been working for over 6 years. I've held various roles from QA engineering to team leadership, focusing on customer-oriented testing and infrastructure. Before joining Check Point, I worked as a networking engineer at Bezeq, managing core network infrastructure and providing technical support for enterprise customers. Throughout my career, I've been drawn to understanding how systems work in practice, how they're used by real people, and how to make them more reliable and effective.
